I'm Marta Marichal, the other member of Affectus.
My initial training is as a nurse for 24 years. For 9 years I have been working as a psycho-body therapist.
I have specialized in supporting emotions and the body through psycho-body integration therapy, anatomy through movement (with Blandine Calais), Body Mind Centering (Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, in training with Patricia Gracia), Applied Neuroscience (with David del Rosario).
I'm Juanjo Priego, one of the two members of Affectus.
After eight years working as a therapist and with two trainings as theoretical, practical and experiential background (Psychobody Integration Therapy and Family Therapy) I believe the time has come to publicly offer my combination.
We believe that the body is the great forgotten thing in our society and we seek to recover its centrality (recovering consciousness) through cognitive work that allows us to reconnect with emotions and the body. We will have to confront our defenses (cognitive, emotional and physical) to be able to recover much of our potential as people.
At Affectus we use two fundamental axes:
